Susan Swanson is an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist specializing in individual, groups, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in West Newbury Massachusetts.

With over 30 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Lesley University specializing in expressive arts therapy, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are working with children, teens and the elderly.

In addition to being a prominent expressive therapist, Susan has presented at hospitals, universities and school districts on the topics of the benefits of art, dance, music and psychodrama with children and teens who have experienced trauma, abuse, suffer acute anxiety. and special challenges.  She also speaks to audiences on the  benefits of creativity on the emotional and physical health of the aging as well as offers creativity and creative problem solving workshops to health care facilities.  She has implemented over 30 expressive therapy and creativity programs in health care across the United States.
